The problem

What was broken

Truth Signal performs three layers of content analysis — factual verification, Bayesian probability scoring, and presentation/bias detection — plus author credibility tracking over time. The original pipeline ran on N8N workflows requiring an external server: added cost, operational complexity, and a single point of failure.

The solution

What we built

A full re-architecture into Supabase Edge Functions powered by OpenAI models with pg_cron scheduled jobs. Every analysis pathway preserved. No external server. Lower latency. Zero maintenance overhead. The system now runs autonomously, end-to-end.

What shipped

Same analysis quality at lower operational cost. Eliminated the single point of failure. Significantly reduced infrastructure overhead — and proved a repeatable service offering: migrate complex existing systems to serverless without functionality loss.
